The Android Market is exploding. It just seems like weeks ago that we were talking about it reaching only 60,000 apps. Oh, wait. That was only weeks ago. So, yes, we can safely say that the Android Market is exploding, and it’s only going to get better. Today, Google can mark off another milestone, as the Market has apparently reached 100,000 submitted applications into their open market.

However, there’s a bit of an exception here. First, these numbers are coming from the unofficial AndroLib, which uses their software to track applications in many markets. It’s not solely watching the official Android Market. However, they are quick to point out the other tid-bit: that’s 100,000 submitted applications. The count of actually available apps is lower, at 83,000. That seems a bit more reasonable, but hey, if their numbers are correct and Google has officially reached that milestone, then they deserve a big congratulations. Start patting people on the back, folks.
