Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Android 5.0 Lollipop T-Mobile

Last month we learned that T-Mobile is busy prepping up units for Android 5.0 Lollipop. The carrier even has a dedicated page for software updates to inform subscribers of the status. Phones under T-Mobile now eligible for the sweet Lollipop upgrade include the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 (2013), HTC One M8, and the Galaxy S5.

Some are still being tested or manufacturer is still developing a version but looks like your Galaxy Note 3 will get a taste of Android 5.0 soon. Note that an Android 5.0 build was leaked for the unit back in December so we’ve been waiting for this. A support FAQ page was sighted with a reference to an ‘OS upgrade to Android 5.0 (Lollipop) released on March 4, 2015. Official Android version is N900TUVUFOB5. This means Galaxy Note 3 owners subscribed to T-Mobile should expect to received notifications for an OTA update in the next few days.

As with other Android 5.0 Lollipop software updates on other phones, this Lollipop will bring changes on notifications, Material Design elements, and a new card UI for the multitasking window. Samsung also brings some enhancements to WiFi calling made on your Galaxy Note 3. Samsung also listed that issues on WiFi calling one way audio and IPv6 email setup have been resolved finally on this version for the Galaxy Note 3.
