According to PC World, the Android browser competes very well with the iPhone and Palm Pre thanks to its tight integration with Google. The browser also excels at search related tasks reports the publication. The address bar acts as a Google search field, as do the browser bars on other platforms.

The downside is that the Android browser can’t launch another web page by tapping on the address bar, you have to hit the menu button and then press go. Frequent trips to the menu button are cited as the main drawback to the Android browser compared to its peers.

PC World reports that one of the coolest features of the Android browser is that you can search within the text of a page by tapping and holding the page. The Pre and the iPhone lack this feature.
