Samsung’s been on a roll working rather hard lately making sure they update all their devices to the latest and greatest versions of Android. Earlier today we reported Jelly Bean was rolling out to more Galaxy S III phones, and now it appears a minor update to 4.1.2 JB has leaked for the international 4G LTE capable Galaxy Note II.
The Galaxy Note II thankfully comes out of the box with Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean, but today a leak of their minor update to 4.1.2 has appeared on the internet for those interested in giving it a try. The exact model is the Galaxy Note II LTE (GT-N7105) which is the European 4G LTE model, not to be confused with what we have here in the US.
Most likely however this means the update is coming along rather nicely, and we should see it roll out to multiple devices and carriers soon enough. I’m hoping US carriers just skip this and go right to Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, but that’s wishful thinking.
Today’s update is an unofficial leak provided by Samsung-updates.com according to Android Central, and is available as we speak for those daring enough to give it a try. It was actually leaked late last week, but now users are just starting to take notice. Android 4.1.2 enhances a few issues with JB, improves the expandable notifications, but is mostly just a mild update without too many changes. Give the leak a try yourself, but do so at your own risk.
