Android 2.x OS now accounts for 77-percent of the devices accessing the Android Market, according to Google’s latest figures.  The search giant recorded platform statistics for Android Market access in the two weeks up until November 1st, finding that 40.8-percent of devices were running Android 2.1 and 36.2-percent were running Android 2.2 Froyo.

Android 1.6 devices are now at 15-percent of the platform share, while Android 1.5 is a mere 7.9-percent.  A further chart shows the developing proportions of each OS version.
