Android emulators for PC bring you the comfort and convenience of being able to run all your Android apps with keyboard, mouse, and big screen support. That is why software like Bluestacks, or even the new Nox App Player, are getting the time of day. If you want to move into the premium market, AMIDuOS from American Megatrends should be the way to go, especially as they have just updated the software and are bringing Lollipop into the picture.

AMIDuOS used to run Android 4.2 Jellybean, and that would have been fine for most of us. But now that Android 5.0 Lollipop is out, and with it comes 64-bit capability, we wish we could bring it over to Android emulation. That is now possible with AMIDuOS version 2.0. Heck even Bluestacks continue to be at Gingerbread while the Nox App Player claims Kitkat compatibility. In that sense, AMIDuOS wins that particular contest, bringing Android 5.0.1 specifically to our desktop environments.

Bluestacks can boast of better graphics because it supports Microsoft’s Direct X processes. But AMIDuOS seems to give you a more complete virtualization experience, even if it might lag once or twice on your high graphics games.

The downside? The license is now at USD$15.00 from its initial USD$10.00 pricing. You can try out the emulator for free for a period of 30 days, but the license is forever. And for those who purchased version 1.0 licenses, you will be getting the upgrade for free. Check out the source link to get the download links.
