We’re always on the lookout for great Amazon promos and offers. One of our favorites is the ‘Free App of the Day Bundle’ that is often worth a significant amount of money. The idea of getting premium apps and games at no cost is exciting. Some apps are listed with a high price but Amazon is being generous to give them away.

Amazon is always generous that it’s ready to provide content and entertainment to more Prime members. Aside from awesome deals on gadgets, there’s also the Amazon Video that allows access to thousands of TV shows and movies to Prime members. Exclusive to these special users are popular movies and TV episodes, classic movies, and Amazon Original Series which you can download straight to your smartphone or tablet. This offer is free so you can enjoy more videos at your pleasure.

The Amazon Video app enables you to stream movies instantly. It has been around for some time now. The apps has probably streamed hundreds of thousands of hours now especially after other video providers added support for the service.

The app was recently updated to include numerous perfomance improvements and bug fixes. Another major update is a new feature that allows users to download videos straight to an SD card and play them even when there’s no internet connection. This means you can play those videos even when offline. Downloading the videos is more efficient as users can watch in full and not be annoyed by buffering. If you have the video content in your memory card, you can watch it anywhere and anytime. You don’t have to be at the mercy of the WiFi or cellular network because the movie file is ready for viewing.

  1. Just contacted Amazon about this, they deny any update allowing download to sd card. Incidentally, they tell me the only way to update the Amazon Video app is to uninstall and then reinstall.

    • Sad but true. I did not get an update shown. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and voilá – I can now download straight to my SD-Card on my Samsung S7 Edge 🙂 FINALLY!
