Alcatel has just announced the IDOL 4S. It’s obviously an upgraded version of the Idol 4 that was introduced earlier this year. This IDOL 4S is already the unlocked model of the new flagship that followed last year’s award–winning phone IDOL 3. The IDOL flagship line of Alcatel is considered one of the best today. It’s no wonder why Alcatel is rumored to be manufacturing the upcoming mid-range BlackBerry phones because of the high quality of products the OEM currently offers.

This IDOL 4S comes equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset, 3.6–watt JBL speakers, Waves Audio, Synaptics fingerprint sensor technology, and the Boom Key button. Alcatel is offering the smartphone with a VR goggle packaging so users can enjoy virtual reality.

Alcatel is listing the $349 phone for pre-order starting tomorrow, July 15, and will ship next month. For a limited time, buyers can receive the phone plus VR goggle bundle together with a pair of HBL headphones and a tempered glass screen protector. Item will also be shipped for free and will come with a special phone case from Incipio if you get the other $399 bundle.

You can also choose to avail of the phone through financing options for a minimum of $37 monthly fee for a certain number of months. Other specs of the smartphone include a 5.5–inch QHD AMOLED screen, 1440 x 2560 resolution, 16MP main camera, f/2.0 aperture, 0.1 second phase detection autofocus, 4K video capture, and several shooting modes (manual, autio, HDR, micro video, panoramic, FYUSE 360-degrees).
