AirDroid is one of those apps that you would most definitely need if you work both on your mobile device and on a laptop or desktop computer. You can access and manage your smartphone or tablet on your computer and transfer files between devices and share with your friends as well. The latest update to the app, version 3.2.2, brings new features to the app, like the ability to record your screen, backup your videos, and more importantly, it will supposedly improve your battery efficiency.

A few years ago, the idea of recording your phone’s screen would have been silly. But now, with vlogging and game streaming and video demos, it’s become a necessity for some users. Now you can use AirDroid to record what’s happening on your screen. Open the app, choose the Record Screen button on the home screen, then tap on the video recorder icon. Both the screen and audio will be recorded, but you can configure it if you want the phone audio and front camera to be the one recording.

If you’re on the premium version of the app, you can also now backup all the videos that are on your smartphone or tablet to your computer, as long as they’re on the same network. This follows the photo backup feature which was a favorite among users. You can choose from several AirDrop premium plans like 1.99/month or $19.99 for 1 year or $38.99 for two years. Battery consumption has also been improved and the optimization test showed a 65% increase in efficiency when used for six straight hours.

There are also some bug fixes and improvements with this update. If you already use AirDroid, just go ahead and update it. If you want to try it out, you can download it for free from the Google Play Store.
