Aio Wireless is getting a few new devices for their lineup. Today they announce three new handsets, including the mid-range kingpin, the Moto G. There is also a Windows Phone, and another Android device, the ZTE Sonata 4G.

The ZTE Sonata is being sold in pearly white, which is exclusive to Aio. The 4-inch 480 x 800 screen is backed by a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, and Adreno 305 GPU. There is a pretty standard 1GB RAM/4GB Memory and a 5MP shooter around back. The Sonata is currently running Android 4.1.2.

The Moto G is where much of the attention will go. The handset is on offer for $149.99 from Aio, and famously runs Android 4.4. It’s got a 4.5-inch display akin to the big rather Moto X, and a water-resistant coating to boot. Color options don’t matter much, because the Moto G brings back the removable back, as the rear covers are swappable for different colors and styles. Aio has basic plans starting at $35/month, which get you 500MB data and unlimited text/calling. If you need more, there are plans up to $55/month which offer unlimited everything, and provide high speed internet for the first 5GB used monthly. Aio service is available in Florida, Georgia, Texas, California, Ohio, Indiana, Louisiana, Washington, Michigan, and New York, or via their website.

  1. I’m interested in switching from straight talk to aio but what is going to happen to aio when AT&T and Leap Wireless merge this year?
