It’s been a while since we last saw an Acer Iconia tablet. We’re more used to Iconia Tabs but there’s still the Iconia One series. After more than a year, the Iconia One 7 gets a follow-up in the form of the Iconia One 8. If you’re looking for a simple Android tablet for your child, consider this one from Acer because they were designed with the kids in mind.

Just like the 2014 version, the Iconia One 8 is targeted for the families who like to share tablets for different purposes. It’s family-friendly alright which means parents can have peace of mind that children won’t be able to access anything that are not appropriate. It comes with a simple user interface that’s easy to navigate and is kid-friendly. You can store a lot of content like books, games, videos, and links to websites that are safe, fun, and educational.

Acer’s new Iconica One 8 comes equipped with an 8-inch HD IPS multitouch display screen, MediaTek quad-core CPU, 2MP front-facing camera, 5MP main cam, 16GB of onboard storage, 1GB RAM, microSD card slot for memory expansion. Features include special parental controls. Feel free to set a time limit for your kids because really, they’re not supposed to be glued to their mobile devices for so long.

You can choose the cover color of the Acer Iconia One 8: blue, black, or white. Tablet will be ready in the US next month with a $99 price tag.
