We have talked before about the number of major computer makers that are looking at putting Android onto their netbook computers. Among those considering Android are HP, Asus, Dell, and Acer.

According to a Chinese newspaper called Apple Daily the Acer dual booting netbook is set to hit in August. The rig will run Windows XP and Android and you can count on the machine costing more than the typical Acer netbook.

The reason is that the machine will still have to cover the cost of XP and the cost of configuring Android. I hope that the cost won’t put the machine outside of what the average shopper is willing to pay. The same paper also claims that Asus and MSI will have Android-powered netbooks soon.
