added this morning to the Android Community feed, thought the name is certainly worth some discussion. There are two versions of the Motorola XOOM currently available for sale, that being the Verizon connected version which is, as they say, upgradable to 4G LTE, and the Wi-Fi only version which you can get at Target. Now they're speaking of an LTE version of the tablet, which should be all means be confusing to those already owning a XOOM from Verizon as they've been promised an upgrade to LTE in the near future.

Motorola DROID3 have emerged, giving us hints as to the specifications of the upcoming Android smartphone. According to the stats at Nenamark, the DROID3 uses a PowerVR SGX 540 GPU powering a qHD resolution, 960 x 540 display. The phone is also running Android 2.3 Gingerbread, or at least was at time of testing. The PowerVR GPU closes off suggestions that Motorola would use the Tegra 2 chipset for the DROID3, instead indicating that it's Texas Instrument's dual-core 1GHz OMAP4430. Meanwhile we already known that the qHD display measures in at 4-inches, and that the DROID3 has a front-facing camera. No word on launch date, but if Motorola is benchmarking the phone then that might suggest it's imminent. [via Droidlife]

DROID 3. It was first announced earlier this month and after initially rolling out to a few testers it was pulled to make a few last minute changes. Now just a few weeks later everything is a go and the update should be hitting phones today.
we mentioned the Droid 3 was set to receive an OTA update starting sometime soon. Now Verizon has made it official and posted up the details and support docs for us over at Verizon Support. According to information the Droid 3 OTA update is in the "soak test" stage and will be ready soon.
Motorola Droid 3 hasn't been out too long but it is already set to get an over the air update soon, possibly sometime this week. Something we have heard of many times is about to start and that is a "soak test" for the over the air update. This update should hopefully fix a slew of small problems plaguing the device since launch such as battery issues and what not, as well as hopefully add Google Talk voice chat capabilities with Android 2.3.4
