Nexus 5 images surface in apparent dummy form

It seems another series of Nexus 5 images have surfaced, though, this time around the images appear to be of some dummy units. This latest round includes four five images (and growing) in total and while it is hard to say 100% these are dummy units, we can say they appear to be that. Unfortunately they are being posted with little in terms of explanation. Not to mention, they have appeared on relatively low followed and low tweeted Twitter account, which only adds to the reasons to be skeptical.

Google barge in Portland, Maine adds to intrigue

Security, shell corporations, and tarps. Google has shrouded their San Francisco barge in mystery, and it’s only making the curiosity worse. Now there is news of a second barge, this time on the other side of the country in Portland, Maine. Just like the first, we have no idea what it’s for. Unlike the first, some have gone right up to it and taken photos... even looked inside.

ZTE Blade Q unveil brings a mini, regular and maxi-sized model

ZTE has announced the latest Blade branded handsets. Or in this case, the ZTE Blade Q lineup, which include three different models. There is the Blade Q Mini, Blade Q and Blade Q Maxi which will be arriving with a 4-inch, 4.5-inch and 5.0-inch display respectively. For now, it looks like these will be heading to Europe, however the release details remain on the lighter side.

Amazon “Day One” weekly magazine launches

In a world where we crave the quick read, Amazon is going another way. With their new weekly reader Day One, Amazon intends to showcase short stories and poems. The “publication” is Kindle only, and has an introductory price of $9.99 for 52 issues. Otherwise, it’ll run you $19.99/year.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 shipments top 5 million

A recent International Data Corporation (IDC) report showed Q3 2013 to be a record breaking quarter in terms of smartphone shipments. In fact, the year-over-year showed a 38.8 percent growth. And as we have been seeing with these reports, Samsung has been topping the charts. This latest report even credited the recently Galaxy Note 3 launch as helping Samsung.
