WiFi Tether back in the Play Store – for now
It's been quite a while since mainstream wireless tethering apps were available in the Android Market/Google Play Store, presumably because US carriers aren't keen to see free alternatives to their paid services. The most popular third-party tethering app, WiFi Tether for Root Users, has mysteriously re-appeared in the Google Play Store - you can download it for free right now. Who knows how long it will stay there, but in any case, we're happy to see it return.

Acer Iconia Tab A500 ICS update rolling out today
Just like the smaller sibling in the A100 it appears that Acer has flipped the switch and is rolling out the update to Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich for their Tegra 2 powered Iconia Tab A500 too. DirecTV app adds streaming for HBO, Starz and Cinemax
Good news, DirecTV subscribers: you can now stream television directly to your Android smartphone or tablet! Well, sort of. You can't stream TV, but you can stream HBO, Cinemax, Starz, Encore, the Audience Network, Sony Movie Channel, and the few shows and movies available on DIRECTV CINEMA. Naturally, you'll need to subscribe to these channels in order to stream them. You could already stream HBO and Cinemax via their individual apps. You can download it in the Google Play Store now, but you'll  need a DirecTV account to sign in.

Verizon leak shows DROID RAZR and Rezound ICS testing to end in May
We know, we know - owners of the HTC Rezound, Motorola DROID RAZR and DROID RAZR MAXX got something of a false alarm a few weeks ago, when Best Buy claimed that these Verizon phones were getting Ice Cream Sandwich updates. The upgrade days came and went, but Verizon, Motorola and HTC remained steadfast that they'd be updated... eventually. Now an internal Verizon screenshot shows that the RAZRs' testing period will end on May 17th, and the Rezound will end even sooner, on May 7th.

Nintendo Wii U rumors run wild – talks of Android integration
Whoa! This one will need to be almost instantly tossed into the rumor bin but we wanted to toy with the idea for a minute and imagine the possibilities. The Nintendo Wii isn't something we really talk about here, except for modding the Wii-motes for Android usage. Some new reports are hinting that it could very well have Android OS integration, or be completely based around Android.

Google recently unveiled the much hyped Google Glasses and are calling it Project Glass. We've seen official videos from Google, and a few snapshots of Sergey Brin wearing them (link below) but today you can see them live on video with Google's Project X founder Sebastian Thrun.
