Motorola Europe have officially announced the Motorola MILESTONE. Which is the GSM version of the Verizon DROID, and will also run Android 2.0. The MILESTONE has been confirmed for Germany and Italy on at least two carriers; Vodafone and O2, according to Motorola Germany. Now, the Motorola sites are mum on release date or pricing for the MILESTONE, but the latest rumors have the release date for November 9th. Also, the new Moto device will be priced at €404.20 ($595) before taxes for business customers, according to those rumors. The Motorola MILESTONE has support for 900/2100 UMTS/WCDMA and quadband GSM, but other than that, the hardware specs seem to be identical to the Verizon DROID. Now, as we all know by now, the DROID will go on sale by the end of this week, Friday, to be exact. The MILESTONE by Motorola will ship with the MOTONAV software, which offers 3D Landmarks and a trial version - yes, unfortunately just trial version - of EASY SEARCH, LANE GUIDANCE and POINTS OF INTEREST. But hey, it will have something the DROID doesn't have; Multitouch.

Droid coming to Verizon on November 6th. And the rumors pointing towards November 3rd to the date that Sony Ericsson will be launching a new Android device. I have to say this, when I watched this video the first time, I couldn't help to feel the anxiety of getting this Sony smartphone. And I'm willing to bet, that most of you will feel the same way. I don't have anything against Android, but lets be honest, media playback on an Android phone just doesn't cut it, until now it would seem. Sony Ericsson's new device is expected to be named either the Xperia X3 or X10. And this new UI demo focuses on Rachael’s new media playback interface, with far improved album management, photo browsing and video playback than any other Android phone, in my opinion. It also seems to borrowed from the Zune HD, check the homescreen, which has a layout very similar to the Zune HD's QuickPlay menu. Well, I won't go into more details, just check the video below and judge for yourself. But I tell you this, when this New Sony device comes out, I will be tempted to either drop my current phone, or get the Sony and carry two smartphones with me all the time, although some people already do that, so I might end up doing just that. Motorola DROID pre-release, across the pond, in Germany, people are also getting excited about the same Motorola device, but in Europe, it will be called the MILESTONE. So far, there is no word whether the Motorola MILESTONE is an exclusive to O2 in general, or just in Germany. And nobody is saying if it will be available on other carriers. O2 will have the MILESTONE in Germany, but that's not all the good news for our cousins from Europe. The thing is, apparently, the GSM version of the Motorola DROID, will have multitouch support in Android 2.0. Now why would the MILESTONE have multitouch capabilities and the CDMA version - the Verizon DROID - won't is a mystery. Mobile-Review’s Eldar Murtazin has posted a video of the Motorola MILESTONE in action - check it out below. If you pay attention to the video, you'll notice that it doesn’t appear to have that function added or modified by Eldar. Maybe it was a decision made by Motorola? Well, anyway, according to the leaks, the handset will arrive on O2 Germany as soon as November 9th.
